A violent showdown appeared sometime around Tuesday night in Ukraine. Fourteen people were left dead and the capital’s square. Forty-seven police officers were injured in the incident with the protesters.
Ominous warnings were issued by Kiev officials and the U.S. Embassy for Tuesday night. At least 14 people died in protests, including six police officers, authorities said.
The City Hall officials warned residents to be safe and stay away from the city center to avoid casualties, and that the U.S. Embassy said Ukrainian security services may take extraordinary measures following the fiery violence. The U.S. Embassy also advised all citizens to maintain a low profile and to remain indoors tonight.
