Thug breaks into woman’s home after warned to stay out qucikly wishes he had listened.
A woman in Southern California recently heard someone trying to break into her home in the early morning hours.
After yelling through her door for the intruder to keep out, she was horrified moments later when he broke through her back door.
As she came face to face with the violent thug, he quickly discovered that he would have been wise to listen to her advice and stay out of her home.
After calling 911, the homeowner warned the suspect she had dogs on the property and was armed.
Authorities said he did not give up, and at one point, kicked in the back door. She then fired one shot, hitting the suspect in the chest.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery, authorities said.

The woman called 911, Sgt. Tim Vander Leek of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said but things were moving fast at the residence in Castaic, which is about 45 minutes northwest of Los Angeles.
“During the call, the lone male outside was trying to kick in her door,” Vander Leek said. “She alerted the person that she was armed.”
Apparently unswayed, the individual “kept trying to force his way into the home,” Vander Leek told the paper. One might say the intruder should have opted for discretion.
