CENTRALIA, Wash. – A man now faces charges after he allegedly threw mashed potatoes at someone in a diner.
When police responded to the incident, they booked and jailed the man for fourth-degree assault. The reason that sparked the incident is still unknown, but it certainly must have been quite the offense to resort to potato assault, according to CNSnews
KATU.com reported that officers responded to the scene, a restaurant in the 600 block of West Main Street, at about 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving a report of an assault.
Arriving at the scene, they arrested a 38-year-old man. He was booked into jail for investigation of fourth-degree assault.
It was not immediately known what led up to the alleged potato-throwing incident.
