In a thread on Reddit, a staff member, who goes by the username orchidhibiscus, from Glasgow, revealed that off-the-menu orders can be taken, including one burger known as the McGangBang.
Under the thread name ‘I Am A McDonald’s Manager Ask Me Anything’, the worker said customers can ‘add, remove or change ingredients by special request’ the Daily Mail reported.
The McGangBang and the Monster Mac: The crudely named McGangBang (left) is the most infamous of the McDonald’ secret menu items.
The burger mixes a McDouble with a McChicken sandwich and combines the two together for just $2.
The Monster Mac or the Bigger Mac (right) is a gut stretching creation that is simply a normal Big Mac – but with six extra beef patties added.
The manager, OrchidHibiscus, who supposedly works at a Glasgow, Scotland, location, shared some pointers with fast-food fans about ordering off the alternative menu.
“Order one and the workers might not know it by name … but if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it’s just another ‘grill order’ that we can make up,” the employee said in response to one user.
US Magazine.com reported that Hack the Menu, which collects secret menus from different restaurants, has a complete list of McDonald’s offerings, including a Chicken McGriddle; Big McChicken; Land, Sea, and Air Burger; McCrepe; and more.
“The items on the ‘secret menu’ weren’t invented by anyone officially at McDonald’s,” the manager wrote via Reddit. “It’s just a random person’s guide to burgers you could potentially ‘hack’ at McDonald’s.”
The most interesting menu items via Hack the Menu include the McGangbang, a McChicken sandwich enclosed within a McDouble, offered for $2.
So if you are hungry, try stopping by your local McDonald’s and surprise them with your new found knowledge of their secret menu.
