Obviously under the influence of nefarious entities, you did indeed read the title correctly. This type of thing is becoming more and more common place as chaos continually will come to the fore, in the days to come.
- Kymberly Lucas (On the right) 40, is charged with murder and attempted murder
- She claimed in a possible suicide note that a sermon the prior day inspired her to the killing and attempted murder
- The children’s mother Jacquelyn Jamason had recently broken up with her
- Both Lucas and Jamason are licensed mental health counselors
The Florida mental health counselor accused of murdering her lesbian lover’s two-year-old daughter earlier this week wrote a note claiming a sermon inspired the killing, it has been revealed.
Kimberly Lucas, 40, is accused of drowning her former girlfriend Jacquelyn Jamason’s two-year-old daughter Elliana and attempting to kill her 10-year-old son Ethan.
Lucas wrote in the note that a sermon by Metropolitan Community Church Pastor Lea Brown ‘really, really touched” her the day before the revenge killing carried out in response to Jamason ending their relationship, ‘but God never told me to stop,’ according to an affidavit cited by WPTV.
Cops were called to Lucas’ Jupiter, Florida, home Monday for a reported drowning. They found Elliana Lucas-Jamason dead.
Footage of the sermon posted by the church on YouTube shows Brown mention a specific Bible passage, Genesis 22, where God asks Abraham to kill his son Isaac.
Brown claims the tale has sent ‘people to the point of no return,’ and that she knew at least one person who gave up on religion because of it.
‘God said… ‘I want you to kill him [your son] and make him a sacrifice for me,’ Brown says.
Abraham makes a three day journey to the top of a mountain where God instructed him to ‘slaughter his own child’ before an angel stops him at the last second and offers a ram to sacrifice instead, Brown explains with Lucas presumably somewhere in the audience.
Brian Ladd, a family friend, told WPTV that the rambling letter is ‘the writing of someone who is really disturbed, very broken.’
He also claimed the church’s services are about love, forgiveness and acceptance – not murder and anger.
A church spokesperson told MailOnline the roughly 200 member congregation is ‘heartbroken’ by the series of events and that Lucas’ actions left Brown in ‘total shock and dismay.’
A funeral will be held for Elliana Sunday afternoon, and an online fundraiser has been set up to help the family defray expenses.
Lucas’ diatribe also blamed her former flame for the death of her own daughter.
‘In YOUR WORDS ‘WHEN YOU ARE LAYING IN BED AT NIGHT REMEMBER YOU F*****G DID THIS TOO (sic) YOURSELF!’ The crazed woman wrote, according to the affidavit.
Lucas attempt to kill Jamason’s son was unsuccessful, and it is believed by authorities she intended to kill herself. The letter was meant to be a suicide note, said police.
Lucas and the boy were both taken to the hospital for treatment. Police did not comment on how they were injured, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
