MICHIGAN – From just looking at Dale Hopfinger you would think he is just another run of the mill average American.
He walks around and lives life just like other people, yet he gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “walking dead man“.
On Nov. 4, the 48-year-old, Dale Hopfinger, pulled out his ID to prove he was who he said he was.
That’s when it happened.
A poll worker at his local polling place refused to let him vote, and insisted that town records showed Hopfinger was deceased with a date of death listed as Sept. 25.
He was then sent away.
Hopfinger said there was a lot of confusion walking in to vote and finding out he was dead and he was working on fixing it.
According to WNEM, after some time, Hopfinger was able to convince the township clerk he was still alive, and they allowed him to vote.
The Social Security Administration has reportedly told Hopfinger it was “likely a clerical error”.
Some on social media have joked saying Hopfinger must have been voting Republican. If he was voting democrat it wouldn’t matter, they would have let him still vote.. twice.
