AL Sharpton-Led Group Plans to Protest the Oscars, for Being too White

There will be more than nominees outside the Oscars on Sunday.

Al Sharpton’s Los Angeles gang, called the National Action Network, is planning to protest the 87th Academy Awards.

They are complaining because no black actors or actresses were nominated in the four acting categories of the Academy Awards this year.

As a result, Al Sharpton is screaming racism, again, and is threatening to protest the Oscars, starting more race riots.

“In the time of Staten Island and Ferguson, to have one of the most shutout Oscar nights in recent memory is something that is incongruous.” he told NY Daily News.

Using his LA gang, National Action Network, Sharpton released the following statement threatening “possible action around the Academy Awards”:

The lack of diversity in today’s Oscar nominations is appalling and while it is good that Selma was nominated for ‘Best Picture,’ it’s ironic that they nominated a story about the racial shutout around voting while there is a racial shutout around the Oscar nominations.

With all of the talent in Selma and other Black movies this year, it is hard to believe that we have less diversity in the nominations today than in recent history. National Action Network (NAN) has formed a task force on the movie industry to deal with diversity as I engage in dialogue with Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal.

The movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains, the higher you get, the whiter it gets. I have called an emergency meeting early next week in Hollywood with the task force to discuss possible action around the Academy Awards.

Sharpton figured since a black person didn’t win, that makes you racist, but anyone with sense can see Sharpton is the real racist.

The National Action Network is calling for the President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, to Academy basically nominate more black people, whether they deserve it or not.
